Individual Therapy

Tired of Feeling Like You’re Not Good Enough?

You’ve tried to get past this on your own, and none of it has worked.

The people who love you keep telling you to talk to someone.

You’re on edge all the time, and you can’t remember the last time you relaxed.

Something from years ago still sets you off, and you’re tired of it.

Your Nights Aren’t Restful, and Your Mornings Aren’t Free

The nightmares come from something that happened a long time ago.

So you don’t feel safe, even now.

Your partner wants you to open up more.

But showing feelings at home was never allowed where you grew up.

Then you get up and go to a job you hate, because change feels riskier than staying.

Making Room for What You’re Really Feeling

You want to tell your partner what you need and what you want, and mean it.

You want to be present with the people closest to you, with your guard down.

And underneath all of it, you want to believe that you’re good enough and that you matter.

Your Brain Couldn’t Finish Filing It

Your brain is powerfully adaptive, and it processes most of what happens to you without any help.

But sometimes an event, small or big, gets lodged in your memory in a way your brain can’t finish processing.

It sits there producing the same negative feelings and the same belief: I’m not good enough.

That belief is what an unfinished memory sounds like from the inside.

Pull the Emotional Bee Sting Out

I’m certified in EMDR, and I use it to take the emotional charge out of the memory.

Think of it as pulling the emotional bee sting out.

Once the sting is out, the memory doesn’t hurt the way it used to.

You can look at what happened objectively, without the old feelings running the show.

And we don’t start there.

Understanding Comes Before the Hard Work

Our first sessions are about you and me building trust, before any processing work begins.

Individual therapy with me is talk therapy first, with EMDR woven in once you feel safe enough to go there.

People tell me they’ve shared more with me than with anyone else in their lives.

I’ll run alongside you the whole way, but you’re still the one doing the work.

Come because you want to, not because someone made you.

Picture Having Less to Say in Therapy

Picture walking around without the heaviness of what happened.

You think of yourself as good enough, and you know you matter, most of all to yourself.

The anxiety, the panic, and the flashbacks loosen their hold.

You sleep better.

You tell your partner what you need without the guilt that used to follow.

The people closest to you notice the change, and they want more time with you.

And one day you’ll notice you have less to say in here, because you’ve gotten what you came for.

Your Nerves About Starting Therapy Make Sense

Talking about your stress and trauma with someone new is a scary thing to do, especially the first time.

I’ve sat in the client’s chair more than once myself, so I know how much that first call asks of you.

Call me at (904) 254-8421 or email greatfrontierscs@gmail.com for a free consultation. I’ll explain how EMDR works, and we can talk about the belief you’d most like to change.
